2026 2nd International Conference on New Energy and Power Grid


The 2026 2nd International Conference on New Energy and Power Grid (NEPG 2026) was successfully concluded on May 31, 2026, in Taizhou, China. The conference was held from May 29 to 31 at the S&N Phoenix Comfort Villa, bringing together researchers, scholars, and industry professionals to exchange the latest advancements in new energy and power grid technologies.

The conference opened on May 30 with a welcoming ceremony, followed by the Opening Address and a group photograph. The program featured six distinguished keynote speakers who delivered cutting-edge presentations. Prof. Ming Li from State Grid Economic and Technological Research Institute Co., Ltd. spoke on "Current Development and Future Prospects of DC Technology," sharing insights on HVDC transmission and system design. Prof. Pingliang Zeng from Hangzhou Dianzi University presented "Integrated Energy Development under the New Landscape: Opportunities and Challenges," addressing the evolving landscape of integrated energy systems. Prof. Qinmin Yang from Zhejiang University delivered a talk on "Intelligent Control and Robust Operation of Offshore Wind Power Generation Systems," highlighting advanced control strategies for offshore wind. Prof. Zhou Liu from Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co., Ltd. presented "Exploration and Practice of Flexible Interactive Technologies for Urban Power Grids," sharing practical experiences in urban grid flexibility Prof. Jiacheng Wang from the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Island Green Energy and New Materials spoke on "Alkaline Seawater Hydrogen Production: The Next Strategic Frontier of the Green Hydrogen Industry," exploring the future of green hydrogen production. Prof. S.N. Singh from ABV-IIITM, India, delivered a presentation on "Estimation of Grid Harmonics in the Presence of Renewable Energy Sources," addressing harmonic challenges in renewable-integrated grids.

Following the keynote and invited sessions, the conference featured nine special parallel sessions covering a wide range of topics. Sessions 1 through 4, held in the Tianyi Room, addressed Smart Grids and Renewable Energy Integration, New Energy Power Generation and Grid-Connection Technologies, Power System Stability and Intelligent Dispatching, and Artificial Intelligence and Grid Intelligence. Sessions 5 through 7, held in the Yangguang Room, covered Energy Storage Technologies and Energy Management, Distributed Grids and Microgrid Systems, and Power Electronics Technology and Power Quality Control. The conference also featured a dedicated Young Scholars Forum, comprising Sessions 8 and 9, which provided an excellent platform for emerging researchers to present their work on Smart Substations and Communication Systems, and Multi-Energy Complementary Microgrids. Throughout the conference, a Poster Session was also held, showcasing additional research contributions.

The conference concluded on May 31 with an Award Ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions, followed by the Closing Ceremony.The event was hosted by Taizhou University and supported by an international organizing committee comprising experts from Zhejiang University, Qatar University, Tianjin University, and numerous other institutions worldwide.
