Sri Niwas Singh (Fellow, IEEE) received the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from IIT Kanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1989 and 1995, respectively.,He is currently the Director with Atal Bihari Vajpayee–Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, India. His research interests include power system restructuring, FACTS, power system optimization and control, security analysis, and power system planning.,Dr. Singh is a fellow of IET (U.K.), Indian National Academy of Engineering, Institution of Engineers (India), and Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.

Prof. Pingliang Zeng | IEEE Senior Member

Hangzhou Dianzi University

Pingliang Zeng is a National and Zhejiang Provincial Distinguished Expert, Professor at Hangzhou Dianzi University, IET Fellow, and IEEE Senior Member. He served as Convenor of IEC TC122 WG1 (2015–2017) and is a member of IEC TC122 WG1, IEC TC8 JWG10, and JWG12. He received the IEC 1906 Award and the 7th China Overseas Contribution Award. He held senior roles in UK power system planning and analysis. In 2012, he returned to China under the National High-Level Talent Program, joining CEPRI as Chief Expert in Power System Analysis and Planning. Since 2017, he has been at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He has led or participated in over 10 national and State Grid projects, including four NSFC Key Projects (two as PI), a National 863 Project, and a Belt and Road International Cooperation Project. He has authored 2 books and over 130 papers (90+ SCI/EI). He has received four provincial/ministerial science and technology progress awards, the IEC 1906 Award, and the 7th China Overseas Contribution Award.

Prof. Ming Li | Changjiang Scholar

Hangzhou Dianzi University

Ming Li, Ph.D. in Engineering, is a Senior Engineer (Professor level), Deputy General Manager and Party Committee Member of State Grid Economic and Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., Adjunct Doctoral Supervisor at North China Electric Power University, and Secretary General of the UHV Subgroup of the State Grid Engineering Construction Standard Working Group. He has long focused on the design and research of conventional and flexible HVDC systems. He has overcome key technologies including large-scale renewable energy integration via flexible HVDC, ±800kV/8GW UHV flexible HVDC, and grid-forming power electronic system design. He led the development of core equipment such as a 5kA flexible HVDC converter valve and a DC control and protection system based on indigenous chips. He has received one First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress (as the top recipient), multiple science and technology progress awards from the power industry and State Grid, over 50 authorized domestic invention patents, 6 books, and over 30 SCI/EI papers.

Prof. Qinmin Yang | IEEE Senior Member

Qinmin Yang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China, in 2001, the M.S. degree in control science and engineering from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla, Rolla, MO, USA, in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the University of Missouri-Rolla. From 2008 to 2009, he was a System Engineer with Caterpillar, Inc. From 2009 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA. Since 2010, he has been with the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Control Technology, College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, where he is currently a Professor. He has been awarded the 2023 Changjiang Scholars Chair Professor. He has also held Visiting positions with the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada and Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, USA. His research interests include intelligent control, renewable energy systems, smart grid, and industrial big data. Prof. Yang has been serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, and Automatica Sinica.

Senior Engineer Zhou Liu | IEEE Senior Member

Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co.,Ltd.

Zhou Liu, Ph.D. in Engineering, is a Professor-level Senior Engineer and an Overseas Leading Technology Expert at Shenzhen Power Supply Co., Ltd. (China Southern Power Grid). He was selected for the 2023 National Major Talent Project. He is an IEEE Senior Member and serves as a member of the expert groups for IEC SEG13, SC8A, and TC88. Dr. Liu has led or participated in nearly 20 major international and national technology and industry projects, filed over 20 invention patents, and published more than 70 high-quality papers in top-tier energy journals and international conferences, including over 30 SCI papers. His main research directions include power grid flexibility, modeling and stability analysis of new power systems, renewable energy integration, protection and control, digital grids, and artificial intelligence applications.
